Telehealth

Telehealth is the use of communication technologies, such as computers and mobile devices, to deliver and facilitate health and health-related services including medical care, client education, health information services and psychotherapy.

Research has found that psychotherapy conducted via computer or mobile devices is equally as effective as in-person therapy, especially when it comes to general anxiety, depression, life transitions, and family dynamics.

Teletherapy sessions work much like the in-person variety. You make an appointment in advance with a therapist, but instead of traveling to an office, you get on your computer and receive a confidential link to your email to gain access to a video waiting room.

You can be anywhere to receive telehealth services – at home, at the office during lunch, and regardless of the weather or lack of transportation.  Telehealth allows you to be in a place where you are most comfortable.  It eliminates  drive time – saves time and gas.  Also, If you travel out of the Los Angeles area you can still attend Telehealth sessions from wherever you are.

If you believe you would benefit from using Telehealth sessions, please contact me today.  I would be happy to speak with you about how I may be able to help.
